Compensation: Up to $90K

Responsibilities for the Senior Internal Auditor:
  • Assist in the annual risk assessment
  • Assist in the development of an annual internal audit plan
  • Conduct or assist management in performing internal audits
  • Work with outside consultants to perform co-sourced internal audits
  • Work with managers to establish internal control procedures
  • Assist in investigations of allegations of fraud and abuse
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for internal audit activities
  • Monitor implementation of corrective action plans that result from internal audits
  • Prepare reports of internal audit activities for corporate and board committees
  • Ensure internal program activities are well documented and files are appropriately maintained

  Requirements for the Senior Internal Auditor:                     
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • Five years of related experience, including related health care experience, and professional auditing experience
  • Internal Audit certification
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit professional standards, COSO framework for risk assessment and internal controls, and internal audit best practices
  • Knowledge of academic medical center operations, financial management and compliance programs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Internet research skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
