Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant:
  • Perform diversified accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the direction of senior, supervisor, manager or partner
  • Meets time constraints and client deadlines
  • Assist in the determination of the extent of test-checking required in an audit and helps to select the transactions to be tested
  • Prepare and index work papers; assist in performing various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare various complex tax returns
  • Assure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
  • Suggests client tax planning ideas to senior, supervisor, manager or partner
  • Prepare routine correspondence to client for approval and signature of partners; write comments for management letters
  • Draft reports including footnotes
  • Prepare the broadest range of accountant tasks
Requirements for the Administrative Assistant:
  • Bachelors’ Degree plus 2- 5 years of public accounting experience OR advanced degree (Masters in Accounting or Taxation or JD) plus 2 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
