A top University in Boston, MA is seeking a Sr. Writer/ Editor to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role you will be responsible for writing and editing compelling short- and long-form copy for various marketing and communications projects. Projects may include informational, promotional and other communication vehicles, such as leadership remarks, internal talking points, digital content, collateral, annual/impact reports, op-eds, text for videos/podcasts and more.   You will also work within standard processes to ensure projects are delivered on brief, on time and within budget. Requirements for the Sr. Writer/ Editor:
  • Bachelor’ s degree required, preferably in English or related field
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience with advanced editing, writing, and proofreading skills
  • Copywriting skills for print and digital media, including both short- and long-form content
  • Ability to develop content strategies and editorial calendars with “ story ideas”
  • Masterful knowledge of AP style (experience with Chicago Manual of Style a plus)
  • Editing, interviewing, and oral presentation skills
  • Technology savvy with knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
