KNF&T Staffing Resources is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Boston, MA. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the CFO and play a key role in the day-to-day functioning of the business. The ideal candidate has payroll experience and will be able to easily jump into managing our payroll staff. 

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant range from managing accounts receivable, processing weekly payroll taxes, reconciling various balance sheets, and more. Compensation: up to 55k dependent on experience; plus bonus

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
  • Process weekly payroll taxes, both Federal and State
  • Process quarterly SUTA/FUTA taxes – MA, NH, RI
  • Posting all cash received. Eventually will take over the handing collection calls and researching payment issues.
  • Prepare daily bank deposit
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts and various income statement accounts
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Verify benefit additions/removals are being processed properly
  • Produce various financial reports upon request
  • Serve as backup for payroll; assist with issues if necessary

Requirements for the Staff Accountant:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Accounting or Business
  • 2-4 years accounting experience or related work background
  • Experience with Great Plains Dynamics a plus
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Technology savvy with excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sense of urgency
  • Customer service skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
