Our client in Andover, MA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. In this contract role, you will report directly to the Controller as well as be responsible for performing duties under general accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Apply today!

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
  • GENERAL ACCOUNTING: 
    • Prepare and post Accrual Entries, Payroll Journal Entries
    • Analyze Balance Sheet accounts, Analyze Customer Sales
    • Review Time & Expense Reports
  • PAYROLL:
    • Setup new employees into Payroll system
    • Update employee deductions, pay rates, taxes, direct deposits, etc.
    • Maintain Vacation and Sick hours
    • Balance Payroll monthly and annually
    • Maintain P/R Register and other payroll reports electronically
    • Call in and set up “ non-scheduled” payrolls with Payroll service
    • Distribute payroll checks bi-weekly
  • ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE:
    • Review A/R aging weekly and call or email customers when needed
    • Enter customer payments into ERP system
    • Scan customer checks via TD Bank software for daily bank deposits
    • Maintain Sales Invoices by number and year
  • ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:
    • Enter A/P invoices into ERP system, Process weekly A/P check run
    • Maintain A/P Check Register and A/P Vendor Files
    • Verify that recurring monthly payments have been received
    • Reconcile Received Goods Not Invoiced (RGNI) report weekly
    • Send out request for W-9 to all new vendors
    • Additional task as assigned by Controller
Requirements for the Staff Accountant:
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting plus 2 years' experience
  • ADP Workforcenow experience
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
  • IQMS experience is a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
