A well-renowned health care organization in Boston, MA is seeking a Vice President of Business Operations to join their team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Vice President of Business Operations is responsible for the following functions for both the Chief Operating Officer’ s Division and the Office of Clinical Affairs Division: training, quality assurance, vendor management and oversight, work force planning, project management, business process redesign, innovation, divisional strategic planning, reporting and analysis, business continuity and budget development and management. Compensation: $205K 

Responsibilities for the Vice President of Business Operations:
  • Lead divisional strategic/business planning and business integration
  • Lead workforce planning efforts for (area/org), including resource sharing, staffing peak periods, and staff forecasting
  • Lead Training and Lab area – train and onboard new hires annually
  • Lead Quality Assurance team by supporting phone and non-phone work; as well as supporting audits
  • Responsible for all Vendor Management and Oversight Activities including procurement strategy, performance guarantees and service level agreement development and monitoring
  • Lead all business process re-design work for (area/org)
  • Translate and support the implementation of key divisional strategies including new service model initiatives
  • Represent Divisions on corporate workgroups and cross departmental initiatives
  • Ensure the timely, accurate and value-added ongoing system support for Divisions and is the primary liaison to IT and telecom
  • Partner with IT to manage, monitor, and enhance system performance, service level agreements, business continuity activities/planning, etc.
  • Ensure proper internal control structures are in place to meet regulatory and industry certification requirements
  • Lead data and reporting/analysis area including the development of standard weekly and monthly dashboards and provide detailed analysis to ensure business goals are on track
  • Lead business continuity efforts for the divisions
  • Responsible for the development and oversight of divisional budgets and works closely with the Finance Budget Director
  • Lead all divisional business continuity initiatives including business continuity policy and procedure development
Requirements for the Vice President of Business Operations:
  • Bachelor’ s degree required, MBA preferred
  • 10 years of health care management experience
  • 10 years of experience in a leadership position directing a medium to large size organization
  • Strategic vision and the ability to translate into tactical plans
  • Exemplary work history with a proven record of success in positions of progressively greater responsibility managing people and achieving business goals and objectives
  • Must understand national/regional/local health care issues and trends
  • Ability to relate this understanding to current and future markets
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and to influence key internal and external constituents to meet critical corporate and community business objectives
  • Superior people management skills in attracting, retaining, motivating and developing individuals
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated competency in the areas of innovation, influence, negotiation, planning, development and motivation
  • Documented strength in analysis, identification of problems and problem resolution
  • Deep knowledge of health plan operations including work force planning
